Now, You Tell Me

05 Oct

I have the opportunity to teach a course of my choice at the local college about ASDs. In the past, I’ve taught an ASD 101 and a behavioral 101 of sorts. I know what I would teach, but my lens is sometimes limited. So far, I have two suggestions (see below); I’d love more.

1. The social struggles of children with Asperger’s combined with their usual high intelligence level

2. Life after childhood with ASDs

ya know, that’s kind of a broad question; what exactly do you want to know?

Can I use the ideas related to simulating ASDs symptoms and keep track of the inappropriate ones? Sorry for being so broad, I realized that too late.

Is doing a course FOR people with aspergers an option?

it might be in the long run, but the department i work in is for health and human development (i.e. mostly medical professionals like nurses).
